PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Good morning everyone,

Today marks the beginning of something important.

The Canadian Armed Forces have an opportunity to participate in the evaluation of a new Canadian-developed health and readiness platform designed specifically to support military personnel operating under demanding conditions.

The program involves personnel from both:
- Canadian Forces Base Shilo
- Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg

Together, up to 3,600 Canadian Armed Forces members may participate in what could become one of the largest military gut-health and preventive readiness evaluations of its kind.

The platform is called OXIGYN.
OXIGYN stands for: Oral • Targeted • IgY • Nutrition.
It is a simple chewable tablet developed to support gastrointestinal health, resilience, and operational readiness.
At its core are targeted IgY antibodies designed to help reduce harmful gastrointestinal bacterial burden — particularly Enterotoxigenic E. coli, or ETEC, one of the leading causes of deployment-related diarrhea worldwide.

Military history has repeatedly shown that gastrointestinal illness can reduce operational effectiveness, interrupt training, increase medical burden, and negatively affect readiness.
OXIGYN was designed to help address that challenge in a simple, field-compatible format.

But this program may explore something even bigger.
Modern science increasingly shows that the gut microbiome may influence far more than digestion alone.
Many participants may notice improvements involving: gastrointestinal comfort, digestion, bowel regularity, bloating, acid reflux, IBS symptoms, and overall gut wellness. Some individuals may also experience broader inflammation-related improvements involving: joint discomfort, recovery, respiratory wellness, asthma symptoms, and general resilience.
Emerging research also suggests that healthier gut balance may play a role in supporting long-term wellness associated with: cardiovascular health, inflammation regulation, immune function, and colon health.

This evaluation program is designed to assess how daily targeted gut support may contribute to force readiness, resilience, and overall wellness in military populations.
The product itself is: easy to take, great tasting, portable, shelf stable, and compatible with military operations.
The routine consists of 10 chewable tablets twice daily and also provides nutritional support equivalent to approximately half an egg per day.

Most importantly: Participation is voluntary and provided at no cost.
Participants will have the opportunity to: support Canadian military innovation, contribute to future troop health research, and potentially experience personal wellness benefits while helping shape the future of preventive force-health technologies.

This is not simply about evaluating a product. It is about exploring new ways to keep Canadian Armed Forces personnel healthy, resilient, and mission-ready.

Thank you.
